Personalised and Vocational Training

We are an approved NOCN Training Centre and provide vocational qualifications in Developing Skills for Employment.  

Course structure and content

We teach the following NOCN courses:

• “Introduction to mosaic”, which leads to NOCN Level 2 Award in Developing Skills for Employment

• “Mosaic Practice (Preparation for work in the creative industries)”, which leads to NOCN Level 2 Certificate in Developing Skills for Employment.

Both of these courses (which are externally verified) are designed around the skills, techniques and tasks of making mosaics and operating in a working art studio. Students work to an individual learning plan and create a portfolio, with guidance and support from our tutors. 

Most students undertake the practical side of their courses in our studio. The research, design, recording, and evaluation can be undertaken from home, our studio, or elsewhere (i.e. library).

Those who achieve our NOCN qualifications must be at least 14 years old.

Times

Courses take place on Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1000 – 1500 and generally last for 14 weeks.

Fees

The current fee is £490 per term /per person (attending one day per week).
