London School of Mosaic is a small independent art school delivering a range of education opportunities including short couses, vocational training and a Diploma in Mosaic Studies . Being the first school teaching mosaic at higher education level in the UK, we set a standard of excellence for the dissemination of this complex and architectural art form.
We provide many sessions for the local community and support those otherwise marginalised, i.e. young people in trouble with the law, people of old age, and adults/children with special needs.
Call for your support
During the Coronavirus crisis we have had to close the school and we have worked on a skeleton staff structure. This has had a negative impact on our key funding, which is earned through our course fees. In order to continue running our social impact sessions and to support our tutors, we ask for your help.
Commission a portrait
Our tutors specialise in making portraits in mosaic, with projects we have completed for St. Paul’s Cathedral and Heritage Lottery Fund. Our proposition is that we will make portraits for our supporters, who donate the below sums:
£150 for a small portrait (14x14cm)
£550 for a large portrait (as shown in the film)
Your commission will help us keep the school open, support our tutors and provide for our social impact sessions.
For those who donate the sums above, please contact info@lsomosaic.com to discuss your portrait idea with our eager mosaicist team.
